Longhorn H.E.L.P. (Heal, Engage, Learn, & Play)
CHISD is sponsoring a free six-week summer event called “Longhorn H.E.L.P.” – which stands for “Heal, Engage, Learn, Play”. The free community events will be held on Wednesdays in June and July starting with a kick off event on June 16 at Virginia Weaver Park.

About the event
CHISD is sponsoring a free six-week summer event called “Longhorn H.E.L.P.” – which stands for “Heal, Engage, Learn, Play”. The free community events will be held on Wednesdays in June and July starting with a kick off event on June 16 at Virginia Weaver Park.
The summer sessions will take place each Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. between June 16 and July 28, with the exception of July 7 when the district is closed. Families are required to register for the events.
Longhorn H.E.L.P. sessions will be held at Virginia Weaver, Crawford and Highlands South Parks as well as High Pointe, Plummer and Waterford Oaks Elementary campuses.
The Art Inspired Healing Collective will be conducting sessions of The PH (Poetry+Healing) Balance Open-Mic by 2 Inspire Peace, a forum to allow those that have not had a voice an opportunity to speak. The experience offers a high vibrational ambiance and forum to affirm and release.
