As we reflect on the STEAM Festival, our hearts are filled with gratitude for every person and organization who helped transform a vision into an experience our community could share together.

The STEAM Festival was never intended to simply be an event. We wanted to create a space where curiosity could be celebrated, creativity could flourish, wellness could be experienced, and every person could feel that they belonged.

We were honored to welcome Yezi Williams of Movement Empress to The STEAM Festival for a powerful, joy-filled movement experience that brought our community together through rhythm, dance, culture, and connection.

Through an interactive, high-energy experience for all ages, Yezi invited our community to move their bodies, feel their spirits, and connect to something deeper through ancestral rhythm and collective joy.

We were honored to welcome Lyrik Hunter to The STEAM Festival, an international poet and performance artist whose words did more than speak; they uplifted and connected.
🎤 Special Poetry Workshop Experience
Through an interactive experience filled with poetry, spoken word, storytelling, and creative expression, Lyrik created space for participants to explore the power of their own voices and personal stories.
Our community experienced the beauty of poetry, presence, and creative expression, reminding us that our stories matter and our voices deserve to be heard.

VR Meditation Experience
✨ WE STEPPED INTO SERENITY… IN A WHOLE NEW WAY. ✨
At The STEAM Festival, guests had the opportunity to experience wellness through an innovative lens with our immersive VR Meditation Experience.
Participants were transported into peaceful virtual environments where they could:

This wasn’t just technology, it was wellness, elevated.
Whether experiencing meditation for the first time or simply taking a much-needed moment to pause amid the excitement of the Festival, participants were invited to experience how technology and mindfulness could come together to support restoration and well-being.
Guests came as they were, stepped into serenity, and emerged with an opportunity to feel a little more grounded, connected, and restored. ✨

We were deeply grateful to have Parkland HIV Services join us at the STEAM Festival and bring vital HIV education, prevention resources, and support directly to our community.
Their presence helped create greater awareness, encouraged meaningful conversations, and connected community members with resources centered on HIV prevention, testing, care, and reducing stigma.

Interactive Play Sessions

We were thrilled to welcome Free Play Children's Museum to the STEAM Festival, where imagination, creativity, and joyful learning came to life!
Their interactive play space invited children to explore, create, discover, and imagine through hands-on experiences designed to foster curiosity, independence, and confidence.
It was a beautiful reminder that when play becomes purpose, creativity becomes power, and every child is empowered to learn through exploration. 💜✨

We were honored to feature LaShonda Cooks, Artist & Community Educator, who led an interactive Art Workshop at the STEAM Festival!
Participants stepped into a creative space where art became a pathway to expression, culture, and connection. LaShonda’s workshop welcomed participants of all ages to explore their creativity through a unique blend of cultural inspiration and modern techniques.
🖌️ Beginners and seasoned creators alike were welcomed ✨ No experience was needed 🎨 Materials were provided 💛 Participants simply brought their creativity and an open heart
This was more than an art workshop, it was an opportunity to create, connect, and express freely in a space intentionally designed for inspiration and joy.
Together, participants unleashed their creative spirits and experienced the magic of STEAM in action. 🎨
Where Basketball Meets STEAM!

Participants had the opportunity to move, learn, create, and thrive with Court & Character Basketball at the STEAM Festival!
This was more than basketball, it was an interactive experience where movement became learning, and every activity helped build confidence, character, and healthy habits.
Through exciting, hands-on experiences, children strengthened their agility, balance, coordination, speed, focus, and teamwork, all while discovering that learning could be active, engaging, and fun!
Because when kids moved their bodies…

A special thank you to Tesla Dallas for bringing the Self-Driving Vehicle Activation, where attendees discovered the future of autonomous transportation and eligible participants experienced the excitement of a self-driving test ride.
